In an interaction with the media on Saturday, Azam said: "I will try to play smart cricket against the bowlers, whether it's Ihsanullah or someone else."The batter also said that he has experience of playing in Multan, which he is sharing with everyone on the team.Asked about his comeback on the national side, Azam said he isn't thinking about making a return currently."I am enjoying my cricket and not thinking of making a comeback in the Pakistan team but I will think about it when I get a chance," he said.Earlier, after his sensational 44-run knock against Karachi Kings, his teammate Colin Munro said he was surprised that the wicketkeeper is excluded from the national side."Amazing," said the New Zealander while commenting on Azam's batting. "I don't know why he's not in the Pakistan team. I was just talking to a couple of other overseas boys. A lot has been spoken about his weight but, my goodness, if he's one of the best batters in the country, why not get him in there."During the run-chase against Karachi Kings on Thursday, Munro put Islamabad in control after hitting 58 runs off just 28 balls, while Azam smashed 44 runs in the same number of deliveries.Talking about facing Quetta Gladiators, which Azam's father Moeen Khan coaches, he said: "When I get down to the ground, I don't see the relationship. Also, my first performance against Quetta was also good."The Shadab Khan-led Islamabad will take on Quetta Gladiators in their fourth match of the PSL 8 at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi on February 24.
